My “porn” contribution scores 5th in Google

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

Searching on the keyword “porn” in Google makes a contribution of mine to GarageTV shown on the 5th (or 6th) place… Strangely, the traffic of this video clip skyrocketed this weekend :)

I hope a lot of people clicked the ads…

PS: Funny sidenote… The AdWords under the video clip contained an ad for job vacancies at the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB).

DailyMotion HQ

Nice way of presenting the difference between SD and HQ: http://www.dailymotion.com/HQ

GarageTV can only follow this if we move to a new platform (quickly :p).

Mind my map – map my mind

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

Nothing new under the sun, but while redefining the concept of GarageTV I started using MindMeister.

I normally use PNotes to keep my todo’s on file, DokuWiki for the keeping my random notes and a real pen and paper for drawing/schematics/…

Maybe mind mapping software will improve the way I keep track of my concepts and ideas… Only time will tell!

PS: I’m also looking into FreeMind, a GPL, cross-platform, Java-written, stand-alone-capable piece of mind mapping software that I can keep on my USB drive for portability.

That’s what I call a video player…

I came across this player on the website of The New York Times (The URL hints the subject I was searching on :p): Player with transcript, check points and timeline.

An idea for GarageTV?

Belgian version of YouTube

Monday, October 13th, 2008

There is a Belgian version of YouTube coming (in 2009?)!

Do I have to fear for my job now? Shall GarageTV withstand the competition of a Belgian YouTube version?

Only time will tell…
